Checking in and unsubscribing
Must be made to the secretariat. If you leave the competition early, you MUST notify the organizers. This is so that we do not have to look for participants who have driven home.
The fishing competition
The fishing competition consists of three rows. A team series, a junior series and an individual series. The winners are determined as follows:
In the team series, the winner is the team that achieves the highest weight in grams of 10 mackerel weighed in.
In the junior series, the winner is the boat with juniors that has achieved the highest weight in grams of 10 weigh-in mackerel. Participants who are under 17 years old are entered in the competition as juniors.
In the individual row, the winner is the person who weighed in the largest mackerel. If two fish have the same weight, the shortest fish wins.

The fishery
Fishing method is free, but must be done sportingly with a fishing rod and line. The fish must be hooked in front of the gills.
It is allowed to use grinder and chumme.
All participants between the age of 18 and state pension age must have the mandatory fishing license.
Only mackerel is fished for.
Judgmentsr
The organizers will appoint a jury of judges. The jury is sovereign in its decisions and the jury’s decisions cannot be appealed.
Disqualification
Any violation of the competition rules will result in disqualification from the competition. The decision to disqualify is made by the judging panel and the event organizers.
Weighing in
The weigh-in master is sovereign in his decisions regarding the weigh-in. During the weigh-in, the weigh-in master has the right to demand that a fish is cleaned. This will take place under supervision. Each team can weigh-in 10 fish on Saturday. Each participant can weigh in 1 individual fish on Saturday. On Sunday, each team can only weigh in improvements from the previous day. Each individual competitor can only weigh in one improvement from the previous day on Sunday.
All fish must be weighed in whole and uncleaned.
On Saturday, participants must be in line for weigh-in by 17:30 at the latest.
On Sunday, participants must be in line for weigh-in by 14:00 at the latest.
Start number
The start number must be posted on the board in the secretariat no later than 17:00 on Saturday and no later than 13:30 on Sunday. If your assigned start number is not on the board at that time, you will be disqualified on the competition day.
Participation fee and participants
If you register by February 28, 2025, the price is DKK 300,- per person.
If you register between March 1 and May 31, 2025, the price is DKK 350 per person.
If you register between June 1 and July 26, the price is DKK 400 per person.
For juniors, the participation fee is DKK 200,- regardless of when you sign up.
The start number deposit for everyone is DKK 100,- per boat. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the competition.
Port fees Friday – Sunday are included in the participation fee.
Teams from all nations can participate.
It is not possible to register for the competition on the day. The deadline for latest registration is d. 26/07-2025.
The competition is open to everyone regardless of nationality.
Cancellation
If the competition management deems that it would be irresponsible to go out, fishing is suspended for the whole or half day in question.
If the entire competition is canceled no later than Thursday, August 7 at 12 noon, the entry fee will be refunded.
The decision to cancel or postpone the fishing competition will be made based on the weather forecast from FCOO.
Weather guidelines for cancellation:
West to southeast – 12 m/s mean wind
East to northwest – 8 m/s mean wind
Maritime safety
Participating boats must be seaworthy and there must be life jackets for everyone on board. All participating boats must have a VHF and/or cell phone on board.
REMEMBER! It is the skipper’s responsibility that the boat maintains the legal requirements, such as speedboat certificate, certificate of competency, fishing license, etc.
Awards and prizes
Team winner is the team with the most grams in 10 mackerel weighed in. In the event of a tie, the team with the largest weighed fish wins. If two fish weigh the same, the shortest fish wins.

After awarding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, the judging panel will deduct the remaining main prize. This will be drawn at the end of the start number, among participating boats that have NOT won a prize from the prize table.
If the winner is not present, the prize goes to the next number etc.
The remaining prizes are awarded according to total team points.

In the event of a tie, the order will be decided by drawing lots.
Junior:
There are prizes for the 5th best juniors – measured from the boat with junior on board with the most grams.
Personalized:
There are prizes for the 3 largest mackerel. In case of equal weight, best condition factor (i.e. shortest fish) wins
